American Legion Easton- Yanish Post #10
Veterans, Legion members, families, friends, and neighbors gather each year at the beautiful Buffalo Cemetery to honor those who have died. The Roll Call of the Dead and a 21-gun salute is followed by taps.
Each year the patriotic spirit flows through the crowd at the Buffalo community center for the annual Memorial Day program. After the reading of the invocation, recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing of the National Anthem, vocal selections of war-era songs are sung.
Reports are given by both Girls and Boys State participants. Poppy poster winners are also announced. Special recognition is given to local veterans for years of service.
Immediately following the program, lunch is served by the auxiliary group. To read about the ladies auxiliary, please go to the American Legion Auxiliary
