Below are contracts and forms currently available. For assistance or more information, please call the city office (701)633-2356 or by email buffalond@ictc.com.  

All completed forms can be mailed to PO Box 126 Buffalo, ND 58011 or placed in the drop box by the City Office entrance.

Local Permit or Restricted Event Permit

Any organization or group of people who want to hold a gaming fundraiser (such as a raffle or poker event) need to apply to the City of Buffalo for a Local or Restricted Event Permit. The following state forms must be used by city officials issuing the local permit.

Forms will be addressed and approved at the next regular city council meeting where your group will then be issued a permit number for printing on your tickets.  Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6:30 PM in the community center at 409 Main Street.  You may also check the website calendar.
We follow and report to ND Attorney General all Local or Restricted Permits (Applications for Local or Restricted permit requests are at the bottom of the ND Attorney General webpage link).

City Services Contract

The City of Buffalo provides excellent service for sewer, water, and garbage (SWG). Water is provided by Cass Rural Water and garbage is contracted with Fat Man Trash (pickup is on Mondays, recycling is the 1st Tuesday of the month).

The document below is the contract for these services. If you are a new resident or renter, this will need to be filled out.

Building Permits

Building permits are required within the City of Buffalo.  Those needing a building permit should contact Brian Steckler for more information.

Hall Rent

The document listed below has all the information needed if you wish to rent the community center. Please check the Hall Rent Schedule first to see if your date is open.

If you are a non-profit organization wishing to have the hall rent fee waived, please provide a letter addressed to the City Council stating as such.  Hall rent waiver requests will be addressed the next city regular city council meeting.  Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6:30 PM in the community center at 409 Main Street.  You may also check the website calendar.

Application for Special Event Liquor/Beer Permit for Off-Site Service

Special Event Permits may be provided to businesses who have current City of Buffalo Beer/Liquor licenses or those who would like a special permit who do not have a current City of Buffalo Beer/Liquor license.
